Connect an AI assistant to NEFL Tree Surgeons
Add our site to ChatGPT or Claude so your assistant can answer questions about our services, hours, and service area — and submit a free estimate request for you.

Paste this URL into your AI assistant using the steps below.
Connect from ChatGPT
- 1. Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors → Advanced and enable Developer mode (read the risk notice shown there).
- 2. In the chat composer, open the + menu and turn on Developer mode.
- 3. Click Add sources, then Connect more.
- 4. Give the connector a name (e.g. "NEFL Tree Surgeons") and paste the Server URL above.
- 5. Start a chat and ask ChatGPT to use NEFL Tree Surgeons — for example, "Ask NEFL Tree Surgeons what their hours are."
Connect from Claude
- 1. Open Claude → Custom connectors → Add.
- 2. Give the connector a name (e.g. "NEFL Tree Surgeons") and paste the Server URL above.
- 3. In a new chat, enable the connector from the composer and ask Claude to use NEFL Tree Surgeons.
Connect from Cursor
- 1. Open Cursor → Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server.
- 2. Choose transport HTTP / Streamable, name it "NEFL Tree Surgeons", and paste the Server URL above.
- 3. Save and toggle the server on. In a new chat, ask Cursor to use NEFL Tree Surgeons.
Troubleshooting
Common setup errors and how to fix them.
ChatGPT: "Add sources" or "Connect more" is missing
Developer mode isn't on. Go to Settings → Connectors → Advanced and enable Developer mode, then toggle Developer mode in the composer's + menu. It's only available on paid plans (Plus / Pro / Business).
ChatGPT: "Failed to connect" or "Invalid server"
The URL is wrong or missing the /mcp path. Use the Copy URL button above — it always ends in /mcp. Don't paste the site homepage.
Claude: "Custom connectors" option is not visible
Custom connectors are available on Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. On the free plan, upgrade or use ChatGPT / Cursor instead.
Claude: connector added but the assistant doesn't use it
You have to enable the connector for each new chat. Click the tools icon in the composer and toggle NEFL Tree Surgeons on, then ask a question that names the business.
Cursor: "No tools found" after adding the server
Make sure the transport is set to HTTP (not stdio) and the URL ends with /mcp. Toggle the server off and on in Settings → MCP to force a re-connect.
Any client: "401 Unauthorized" or auth prompts
This server is public and doesn't require sign-in. If your client is asking for credentials, remove and re-add the connector using the copied URL exactly as shown above.
